Viki is an application similar to siri to be launched by the Mobile phone giant Blackberry for blackberry phones on april 23. Blackberry,a Canada based mobile manufacturer is now engaged in a serious battle with Samsung and apple for its existence .Blackberry will launch vik',a similar application to siri in i phone,a personal assistant app from a Kochi start up,which blackberry believes can take on siri. Viki was originally developed by a group of youngsters as a robot called Agrima and the algorithm has been adapted to mobile app. The app can be downloaded and subscribed for just $3 a year. Blackberry has done a series of tests before picking viki which has nine touch options bu also does its functions using voice of the user as input. As a personal aidor as your friend, viki can do many things like sending messages and e-mails,place calls,write posts on social networking websites,schedule meetings and your to do list,choose a movie,find a restaurant get updated news,weather etc. what make viki different is its ability to update its database regularly,so that it can act with users mood and mind.for instance,it can play songs related to the mood of user by auto detection or it may find a non-vegetarian hotel if the user search for hotels nearby.
