How to backup System Drive(C) fully in Windows8

The first task that must be done when you are in a new operating system is to backup your system files.Each and every pc or laptop at anytime,can be affected by a virus.Since we are always connected to the internet,the chances are more.You can make use of antivirus softwares to get rid off viruses,but backing up your files is inevitable.It is preferable that you install the basic drivers for audio(Realtek),video,graphics and so on,and then take a backup in a DVD or pen drive.
                In Windows7,I took the full system backup easily.But,it required two DVD's.This backup could be used to restore all the files and folders in System drive(C Drive).But in Windows8 I didn't find this option directly.So,did I post it.In Windows8 also there is backup options.You can access it from the Control Panel.There are many options available.They include creating system image,creating system repair disc,create full backup,etc.If you need to completely backup system drive so that you can completely restore it later at any time,do the following steps.
1.Go to right top corner to access the settings tab.
2.Click on control panel
3.In the control panel,on right top,you can see 'view by' tab.Change it to large icons.
4.In the new window,at the right bottom side of the list you will be able a 'Windows 7 File Recovery' tab.Click on it.
5.Now,click on 'Backup now' button.
6.A window displaying 'creating shadow copy' appears.
7.In the next step,you can select your system drive(C) and optionally other drives.There are customizable options for backing up desktop and user documents also.
8.After selecting the required options,you will be asked to insert the disc.Insert the DVD.

        After about 30 minutes,your full system backup will get completed.In Windows 7 if it required 2 DVD's,here in Windows 8 a single DVD is enough and more.After doing all these,you can really fell free to do anything,since you have your full system backed up inside a single disc.

Windows8,the latest version of Windows OS released by Microsoft corporation comes with a set of newly added features from it's previous version,the Windows7.In my previous post,I just mentioned about the comparison between windows7 and windows8.In this post,we will deal with windows8 alone,with it's upgrade options,pricing,etc.

        There are changes in the visual appearance.The start menu icon in the taskbar has disappeared.In order to access start menu,just bring the cursor to the left bottom corner of the desktop.Then a small window just floats.Click on that.If you point the mouse to top or bottom right corner,another floating tab appears.It has options for search,share,start,devices and settings.You can share your photos or videos on social networking sites like facebook,twitter,google plus,etc, by configuring the settings once.All the settings including the control panel appears while clicking on the settings icon.The other options available there are personalisation,pc info and help.At the lower end,you have options to adjust the volume,brightness,power,keyboard,WiFi,etc.If you bring the mouse over the left top corner and click on it,you can see the opened,running applications.The start menu got upgraded.The visulisation of start menu is awesome.There you can find shortcuts to all the installed apps and tabs like         mail,calender,store,messaging,people,desktop,weather,maps,bing,games,camera,music,video and much more.Also,the visual appearance while opening a folder changed.

        At last,is there any problems that anyone experienced using windows8?.Some of my friends complained that the battery usage by windows8 OS is little bit more than windows7.This is the only issue,I have noticed.So,overall,Windows8 is the best for tablets and touch screen devices.Also,it is good to use windows8 to windows7 for pc's and laptops too.

Which is better Windows 7 or windows 8?

 As human life is subjected to change from generation to generation, changes in sophisticated technologies are usual. Microsoft, the biggest software company, has released its latest version of operating system called Windows 8.It is the only operating system which is compactable for  computers, mobile phones and tablet computers. Some people say that windows8 is the best for tablets and mobile phones however others oppose it. The following paragraphs discuss about the pros and cons of windows8 and comparison between windows 8 and its former.

Firstly, increased performance is one of the best advantages of windows 8.As the new operating system uses less graphics compared to windows7, the overall performance of the system automatically improves which results in handling multiple applications at once. For instance, a user can listen to music, scan for viruses, surf internet and download from internet simultaneously without any time delay. This was possible in windows 7 too but with so ease in the latter. If a person is a sophisticated user handling with complex applications, windows8 can make many differences for them as it does not have transparent display which is included in windows 7. So while considering performance of system, windows8 is better than windows 7.

Another advantage of windows 8 is its new user interface. Apart from win 98/XP/vista/seven, windows have launched a new user interface. When a user clicks on start button, all installed applications come by thumbnails on monitor which helps in increasing the ease to select the desired applications. For example, weather forecast can be easily seen by selecting weather application on windows 8.Thus the new operating system has improved the easiness of handling a computer system.

Windows8 support multi touch screen and receive voice input. Moreover it consumes less booting time compared to windows7. It requires a minimum of 1 GHz processor to be installed. The performance varies according to RAM, processor and graphics card. It is said that if your computer can run windows 7, then it can also run windows 8. 32 bit version of windows 8 requires at least 1GB of RAM while 64 bit needs 2GB for installation and smooth working. So, technically windows 8 require less space and specifications while equating with windows7.

However, there are some drawbacks in windows 8 operating system such as the difficulty to use horizontal scroll bar for mouse users. As this operating system is mainly designed for top end monitors, the default monitor size is higher than usual which creates the user to scroll horizontally to view full screen. When the user is using a conventional mouse as pointing device, the scroller is mainly used for vertical scrolling. To scroll horizontally, it should be clicked in horizontal scroll bar and moved. Moreover, people who were used to the older windows operating system may feel discomfort to use new user interface as it is totally unknown for them especially for people who are aged. Besides this, some functions like restart the computer, start an application are only available on tablet interface which make inconvenience to other platform users.

Overall, windows8 is one of the best operating systems for tablets and mobile phones. But there are some inconveniences in normal computer platform. But let us hope that the providers will rectify all the bugs after some updates so that future generations can access computer with much quality.

Fix for Firefox screen flashing/flickering

Does your screen flashes to black screen or flickers on Mozilla Firefox while you scroll down the mouse pointer to bottom of page?This was the problem that I too faced in the past week.It seems like a black page is behind the original and it makes the vision worse.
I just uninstalled the current version of firefox and installed the previous versions.But, it didn't really work for me.I just checked for newer versions.I got a beta version and i tried it.It did better.But was not the perfect solution.
  The next,I updated my OS(Windows7) using Windows update.After the successful installation of new files,I found that my firefox was working properly without any issues.
If your problem is not yet fixed,try the following steps also.

• Update your Graphics driver software
• Go to options from firefox>general>browsing>

          untick the option"use hardware acceleration when available" .

How to remove linux/Ubuntu OS without formatting?

Follow the steps mentioned below to remove the linux/ubuntu os in the pc which runs windows 7 without formatting the whole harddisk.
[The drive in which ubuntu is installed is invisible in windows 7] .
CAUTION:First change boot config,otherwise it can result in system boot failure.

CHANGING BOOT CONFIGURATION

1.Download and install easy BCD (free non commercial version)for windows7.click here to download.
2.Open easy BCD.
3.Click on BCD backup/repair
4.Perform all the actions Reset BCD configuration,Recreate/repair boot files and change boot drive to c[where c drive contains the files of windows7 os].
5.Now restart our computer.

REMOVING LINUX/UBUNTU

1.Open control panel
2.Click on System and Security>Administrative Tools>Create and format harddisk partitions.
3.Now in the opened disk management window,you can see the Linux os drive there.Right click on that drive,delete it.
4.Use the unallocated space to create a new drive in windows.

Now you have successfully removed the ubuntu os.
